Sometimes a customer needs unique settings that differ from their service plan. You can customize a subscription individually. This will lock it from plan sync, meaning future plan changes will not automatically apply.

### Customizing a Subscription

1. Log in to **Plesk**.
2. Go to **Subscriptions**.
3. Click the subscription name.
4. Click **Customize** in the right sidebar.
5. Modify resources, permissions, or other settings as needed.
6. Click **Update & Lock**.

The subscription is now **locked**. It will not receive updates from the service plan.

### Unlocking a Subscription

1. Click the subscription name in **Subscriptions**.
2. Click **Sync** to apply the current plan settings and remove the lock.

### Important Notes

- Only customize subscriptions when truly necessary. Locked subscriptions are harder to manage at scale.
- If multiple customers need the same customization, update the service plan instead.

### Troubleshooting

**"Update & Lock" is not visible:**

- Your reseller permissions may not include subscription customization. Contact your hosting provider.
